Photograph made at Parque Nacional Marino Ballena in Provincia de Puntarenas, Uvita. The park, established in 1990, encompasses 270 acres of land and 13,300 acres of ocean. Protected areas include mangrove estuaries, lowland rainforest, beaches and marine habitats. It is named after the Humpback Whales that migrate to the area each year from December to April to mate.
